In this guide, we’ll walk through how to export a Revit file for real-time rendering.

Let’s dive into it!

File Preparation

To export from Revit, we must ensure we have a 3D View open. If a 3D View is not open the FBX export option will be greyed out.

Export Settings

Now with our 3D view active, navigate to:

File → Export → Fbx

This will open a window asking where we would like to save the file.

Set the export destination, name the file, and be sure the Files of Type is set to FBX. Click Save when ready.

The asset is now ready to be uploaded to VNTANA.
